PAYMASTER GENERAL, MR. ACHU DONATUS

It was during a treasury meeting held on the 8th of July 2016 that the new paymaster general of CEFAM, Achu Donatus declared his ambitions to lead the treasury into emergence. The meeting themed “the treasury at the centre of emergence” was chaired by Clement Fon Ndikum, secretary general at the governor’s office who presided over representing the South west governor. In attendance were the regional delegates of MINPAT and finance, the Mayor’s representative and a host of other administrators. .

The quest for effective management and finance was a major topic of discussion as it is clear that many projects have been abandoned either due to time, unavailability of state funds or poor management. Much is expected to see proper and timely execution of projects given that public taxation is still low. It was therefore a need to caution municipal treasurers on their position to  wisely execute projects and account to hierachy.

Elections had just passed in march and therefore it was necessary for the treasury committee to be enlightened on innovations on the fianace law as long as 2016 budget is concerned.

Mr Achu Donatus, new paysmaster general promised a brighter future as he says “the only innovation is consistency. Treasurers shoud use the means given to them for the right purpose to control and account to hierachy. Sincere and quality accounts on day to day management is what we need”.

SECRETARY GENERAL AT GOVERNORL’S OFFICE, CLEMENT FON NDIKUM

In an interview with Cameroon Herald, Mr Fon Ndikum said they will be given instructions and brriefed on the 2016 budget plan. On his apprasal so far, he exptessed some little satisfaction while urging the team to do more enhancing thr sector entrusted to them. He equally instructed that once statutory documents are supplied, the ministry should not fail by delaying payment when the means is available.

With all these, aspirations are high to see further innovations in this sector especially as pay master general, Mr. Achu has given his word.
